After a rough week, I love to give myself a little rest and relaxation. Since I do a lot of standing throughout my day, my poor feet get the bad end of the deal. Whenever possible, they get a little extra attention and pampering. I love to make my own mixes, scrubs, and treatments so I knew exactly what I was going to make to thank my feet for how amazing they are. A simple Lemon Drop and Honey Sugar Foot Scrub was just what the doctor ordered.
Essential Oils are all the rage right now. I have quite the collection and I use them for any and everything. There are so many uses for these oils and they are safe to use. One of my favorites is the Lemon Essential Oil. One reason this works in my sugar foot scrub is because lemon can help break down calluses that many of us have after standing on our feet all day. The Lemon Essential Oil is a great antiseptic agent that provides your feet with instant relief and muscle relaxation. Honey, which I know sounds crazy, is also wonderful for your feet. If you have cracks on your heels, honey can help relieve some of the pain caused by the cracks. Lemon Drop and Honey Sugar Foot Scrub is the perfect gift to gift your feet plus it is easy to make.
This recipe makes about 2 16 oz. jars of 4 small jars
Sugar Foot Scrub DIY: Lemon Drop & Honey
1 cup Epsom salts
1 cup sugar – use organic cane sugar, brown sugar or regular granulated.
2 Tbsp raw honey
1 cup coconut oil – melt it down to liquid form
8-10 drops lemon essential oil
In a medium-sized bowl add Epsom salt and sugar and combine fully.
Slowly begin stirring in the oil until mixture is smooth, but not goopy. (You may not need to use the full cup of oil.)
Add the honey and stir well, then mix in the essential oil.
Store in an air tight jar.
I hope you loved my Lemon Drop and Honey Foot Scrub as much as I do. It really is the perfect addition to your beauty regimen.
